Call for Book Proposals: A Modern History of Politics and Violence
A Modern History of Politics and Violence is a new book series that scrutinises the diverse history of political violence in the modern world.
Volumes already commissioned and in production include original monograph studies, edited collections and reference works that explore the cultural settings and key actors that have allowed violent solutions to become seen as desirable somehow at certain points in history. The series also examines the impact of such forces on victims as well as the implications for societies at large.
In addition to proposals exploring themes such as European fascism and genocide, we are now looking for submissions that develop non Euro-centric topics in a wide variety of contexts. Moreover, we are looking for proposals that engage with themes such as gender, politicised faith, and transnationalism.
Moreover, A Modern History of Politics and Violence is an innovative book series. We are looking for both serious monograph proposals, as well as edited volumes, encyclopedia projects and reference works, and other innovative volumes.
A Modern History of Politics and Violence encourages high-quality submissions from both established scholars, as well as early career academics.
