The American Antiquarian Society welcomes applications for its long-term research fellowships, which are supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Applications are due by January 15, 2014.
The AAS-NEH long-term fellowships support scholars to visit the AAS--an independent research library of American history, literature, and culture--for periods from four to twelve months. NEH fellowships are for persons who have already completed their formal professional training.
AAS-NEH fellows are selected on the basis of the applicant's scholarly qualifications, the scholarly significance or importance of the project, and the appropriateness of the proposed study to the Society's collections.
The stipend for the AAS-NEH long-term fellowships is $4200/month. For further information, eligibility information, and a link to the online application form, please visit www.americanantiquarian.org.
