September is Indiana Archaeology Month. This is the 18th annual celebration of the science of archaeology in the state, coordinated by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources' Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology. Archaeology events are taking place around the state, and there are commemorative posters and t-shirts available. This year's focus is the rich and varied French history and influence in Indiana.
