We are searching for two graduate researchers for two half-time positions associated with the Chair of “History and Culture of East-Central Europe in the 19th and 20th Centuries with a Focus on Poland” at the History Department of the University of Bremen.
Each position will involve carrying out an individual research project and completing a PhD thesis. The post-holder will be also required to teach (2 hours weekly) within the programme of BA studies in History and Integrated European Studies, as well as manage their own research and administrative activities. Limit of tenure is 31 October 2017.
The qualified candidate will:
hold an MA in history, sociology, cultural studies or a related discipline
have a good command of Polish (B2); knowledge of another East European language is of advantage
present a research project in the field of post-1945 Polish history that at least partly bases on the archival material kept at the Archive of Research Centre for East European Studies, www.forschungsstelle.uni-bremen.de/en/, but extends beyond the caesura of 1989.
have a strong interest in digital history
