In Spring 2013, Composition Studies' Lecture Series provided a podium to enlighten students, faculty, staff, administrators, and students regarding the power of critical reading, thinking, and writing. The series was so successful that it has been expanded into a lecture series and conference for undergraduate students. This year Composition Studies has partnered with President Mickey L. Burnhim's Male Initiative in order to reach an even larger audience regarding one of the most controversial topics of our generation today--the Black Male.
