The Journal of Health Diplomacy (JHD) is excited to announce a call for papers for its second issue titled, 'Where’s the theory in health diplomacy?' This issue of JHD is concerned with the concepts and methods used to theorize about health diplomacy, and the role of health diplomacy itself in shaping them. Specifically, we ask: Is there a theory-based practice of health diplomacy, and/or is there a practice-based theory of health diplomacy? We aim to publish this issue in fall 2013.
To be considered for publication, please send a one page overview of your proposed manuscript to Mark Pearcey, Managing Editor of JHD, at MarkPearcey@cmail.carleton.ca – please note that we strongly encourage that one page overviews be submitted by 20 May 2013. The second issue will be edited by Rachel Irwin, Ronald Labonté, and Arne Ruckert. JHD welcomes contributions from all academic disciplines, including international relations, political science, anthropology, sociology, history and geography.
Submission date for full manuscripts will be early August.
