Barton College's Hackney Library is hosting a Constitution Day Seminar on September 17, 2013 to recognize the centennial of Charles A. Beard's An Economic Interpretation of the Constitution of the United States(1913). Proposals are invited for presentations addressing themes related to An Economic Interpretation, including but not limited to, influences on Beard's thinking, the sources of the book's influence, and its relevance today. A one-page proposal and a brief c.v. should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by June 28, 2013. Final drafts of papers to be presented will be due August 30, 2013. Participants whose papers are accepted will receive a small honorarium to help defray travel expenses.
