Carroll University will host The Humanities and Technology Camp (THATCamp) in August 2013. THATCamp Wisconsin is an open meeting for humanists, librarians, scholars, technologists and others of all skill levels to collaboratively solve problems and generate new ideas on session topics proposed by participants. The theme will be “Big Ideas, Small Campuses.”
Session proposals and conversations around this theme are encouraged. Suggested topics include: how small colleges can be more nimble and more innovative than their larger counterparts; what steps are needed to create inter-campus networks that leverage pockets of expertise; what activities and applications work particularly well in the small classroom or in small majors; and how participants might help one another with personal goals and projects. THATCamp Wisconsin 2013 will be Friday, Aug. 9, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Carroll’s Center for Graduate Studies, 2140 Davidson Rd., Waukesha. This facility provides room for break-out sessions, hands-on multimedia work and professional networking. Attendance is free and includes a continental breakfast as well as lunch.
