The Yonsei Journal of International Studies is a biannual interdisciplinary journal affiliated with the Center for International Studies at Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea. The Journal welcomes submissions from all scholars, especially graduate students and junior professors, that fall within the diverse field of International Studies. We particularly encourage submissions that challenge the conventional wisdom of a given issue.
We are currently accepted submissions for the forthcoming spring/summer 2013 issue!
The Journal encompasses a wide scope of varying disciplines and methodologies, but each issue will attempt to be thematic. In doing so, we include academic papers, an array of different essays, exclusive interviews and argumentation reviews. Graduate students from any number of perspectives are encouraged to submit a research paper to the Journal. All papers, essays and reviews should be relevant to international studies, be related to the issue’s theme and follows submission guidelines. In addition to papers, essays and reviews, there is an interview section managed by the Journal staff:
This section includes feature-length articles of original research and must include proper citations. Papers should range from 3,000 to 8,000 words.
This section includes essays that take stances on issues and develop sophisticated arguments in the form of editorials, recommendations and reflections. Papers should range from 1,500 to 3,000 words.
This section focuses on evaluations and reviews of existing arguments contained in essays, articles and
books, in addition to policy reviews or previously published material in the Journal. Reviews should be no longer than 2,000 words.
All submissions must be formatted in Microsoft Word and include an abstract. Please adhere to The
Chicago Manual of Style and the submission guidelines found at our website: http://yonseijournal.com/submit/.
Submissions can be made via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
