The University of California, Merced, is organizing a conference on "Tournaments, Contests and Relative Performance Evaluation" which is scheduled to take place at the Fresno Center of the University of California, Merced, in Fresno, California, USA, on March 15-17, 2013.
The objective of this conference is to encourage and disseminate new research on tournaments, contests and relative performance evaluation, and to foster interaction between theorists and applied researchers in this area. Submissions of research papers on the specific topic of tournaments and contests are solicited to be presented at this conference. The submission deadline is December 31, 2012. Submissions can be made at the conference website which can be found at ContestTheory.org. Registration is open, in that presentation of a paper is not a prerequisite. We anticipate having the preliminary program posted by January 31.
The keynote speakers are Dan Kovenock, who is the Rebecca and William Dunn Distinguished Professor at the Economic Science Institute of Chapman University, and John Morgan, who is the Gary and Sherron Kalbach Professor of Business Administration at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
