Have you noticed any students with promise for a career in academia? Are they dedicated to the ideals of individual and economic liberty? We want to help them! The Institute for Humane Studies will assist in offsetting the costs of applying to a doctoral program with an award from the Hayek Fund for Future Scholars of up to $300. Named after Nobel Prize winning economist F.A. Hayek, we aim to help continue his tradition of rigorous scholarship in defense of a free society by giving the next generation of classical liberal scholars a greater chance of getting into the right program.
The Fund is for students applying to a full-time Ph.D program within the United States for the 2013-2014 academic year. The goal is to help the student apply to as many programs as possible so as to increase their chances of admittance.
•Awards of up to $300 for application fees
•All disciplines are considered, but preference is given to the humanities and social sciences
•No minimum GPA required, but past academic performance will be considered
For more information and application instructions, please direct your students to http://www.theihs.org/HayekFutureFunds
