The Mary Baker Eddy Library’s first Fellows Colloquium will be held on Thursday, October 4, at 7 p.m. The evening will include an active dialogue amongst past Library Fellows from a variety of academic disciplines, and allow people interested in the Library’s Collection to learn more about research and Fellowship opportunities. To learn more about this event and the speakers, who include Dr. Paul Eli Ivey, Dr. Ashley Squires, Dr. Lisa Stepanski, and Amy Voorhees, please visit our website: http://www.marybakereddylibrary.org/fellows-colloquium
Additionally, on Saturday, October 6th, at 11 a.m. the Research and Reference Services department is having an in-person orientation to our collections for researchers. We’d love to have you join us and we can give you a brief overview of what we have. We’ll also discuss the Fellowship program and its opportunities. There will also be a 2 p.m. conference call that will provide an introduction to the collection and Q&A time. Alternately, we are offering the opportunity to schedule one-on-one orientation meetings throughout the month, both in-person or on the phone, and tailored to your research interests.
Relevant areas of study include the fields of women’s history, spirituality and health, religious studies, nineteenth-century history, cultural and social history, architecture, and journalism.
