"New Women" Fiction Suggestions for Course Syllabus

Query: From: Alison Klairmont Lingo alisonkl@violet.berkeley.edu 29 Feb 1996

I am putting together an undergraduate course on "Society and the Sexes in Modern Europe" an am looking for a short book of fiction authored preferably by a woman on the "new woman" phenomenon of the late 19th and early 20th century period. Also it would be preferable if the book was available in paperback. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
