Stacy A. Cordery is an associate professor of History and the Coordinator of Women's Studies at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois. She is also the Curator of the Monmouth College Archives. Her book-in-progress is an historical biography of Alice Roosevelt Longworth. She has published in Presidential Studies Quarterly, American First Ladies: Their Lives and Their Legacy, and The Gilded Age: Essays on the Origins of Modern America. Her research interests include the Roosevelt family, women's clubs, historical biography, and Gilded Age/Progressive Era social and women's history. She teaches United States History, except for the West. Her blood is burnt orange, as her Ph.D. is from The University of Texas.
