Melanie Shell-Weiss is an A.B.D.in Amerian History at Michigan State University. Her dissertation is on immigration and 20th century Miami, Florida. She also is an Assistant Director of H-Net, and works extensively with issues surrounding MultiMedia and Teaching, as well as creating MultiMedia classroom tools. In September 1997, Melanie coordinated the "Envisioning the Future: Creating the Humanities Classroom of the 21st Century" Conference.
