I'm a graduate student working on a paper on child welfare in California and need some help in locating theoretical/conceptual articles on using silences as evidence. So far I've located Evelyn Higginbotham's article "Beyond the Sound of Silence", Gender and History (1989) and Nannerl Keohane's article "Speaking From Silence: Women and the Science of Politics", Soundings (1981). Any other references would be most appreciated. Thank you in advance.
