Query From Virginia E Hench hench@hawaii.edu 31 Oct 1997
I am interested in finding information on witch trials other than those in Salem, MA, such as the ones supposedly took place in Hartford, CT. I am just getting into the witch trials and was hoping for guidance as to which sources are considered reliable. My area is criminal law and procedure, and I am working with issues of how women have been treated in the law. I would like references both to primary and secondary materials, as I am contemplating a book, to be completed in about two to three years. Thanks very much.
