Although I will not be attending the annual meeting of the
Organization of American Historians for the rest of the week I will
attending a 150th Anniversary Symposium on the the Mexican American
War (1846-48).

H-USA consequently will be silent until my return to my post on
April 2, 1996. You may then expect a rush of mail. Have a nice
April Fool's Day.
