Subject: CW on CD?
Does anybody have good information about a CD program on the Civil War that is useful for classroom instruction? Help will be appreciated. Needed for a Civil War and Reconstruction course next semester. Bert Wyatt-Brown

Response to Bert Wyatt-Brown's query: The library at Millersville University (PA) has recently acquired CIVIL WAR NEWSPAPERS on CD-ROM from Accessible Archives. It includes both Northern and Southern newspapers (New York, Charleston, and I think Richmond). I have not used it in class yet, but it looks promising. I would be glad to provide more specific information if anyonw is interested.

I'd like to know if the CD is available commercially. Sounds fascinating. Thank you, Joe Bauman

Professor Bauman,
On Tuesday you asked about the availability of the Civil War Newspapers on CD-ROM. Scholarly Resources recently became the distributor for Accessible Archives. You can purchase the CD-ROM from us; if you post me your information.
I apologize for posting to the list, but the e-mail address in your post wasn't working.
