ARPA Best Article Award

Rosenbloom & Piotrowski win ARPA best article award
David H. Rosenbloom (American University) and Suzanna Piotrowski (Rutgers-Newark) will receive the ARPA Best Article award at the 2006 annual meeting. Their piece, on "Outsourcing the Constitution and Administrative Law Norms," was published in the June, 2005 issue of the American Review of Public Administration.
The selection committee was comprised of Bob Durant, chair (American University), Irene Rubin (Northern Illinois University), and Julie Dolan (Macalaster College).

Herbert Kaufman Award

Contracting Out focus of award winning paper from 2005 conference
The Herbert Kaufman Award, given to the PA section paper judged to be the best presented at the last annual conference, will be presented to Sergio Fernandez (Indiana University),
Craig Smith (University of Georgia) and
Jeffery Wenger (University of Georgia) for "Employment Privatization and Managerial Choice: Does Contracting Out Reduce Public Sector Employment?"
The selection committee was comprised of Richard Feiock, Roger Hartley, and Christopher Stream.
