The purpose of this session will be to plan appropriate events and activities
for the 20th anniversary of this section that will take place in 2006. Some
of the ideas put forth at the last years meeting at New Orleans will be
further discussed. The suggestion for an international forum, the production
of CD ROMS containing all former abstracts, the publishing of a combination
Area History and Directory, an expanded program to increase the number of sessions
to ten, and special tours are but a few to be examined.

The two-year college area will meet for the first time to discuss future activities.
If you are a PCA/ACA member from a two-year school, please come help us to define
our goals. It will also be a great opportunity to meet colleagues. This area
can be a valuable resource even if you present papers in other sections.

MENS STUDIES OPEN FORUM

Participants: All ACA/PCA Mens Studies Presenters and Attendees.
The forum is open to all conference attendees and presenters who are interested
in contemporary issues and concerns related to the growing body of scholarly
work on men and masculinities. The time will be spent discussing issues of coordination,
refinement, and expansion of scholarship in the area of mens studies and
the role of the Mascu-linities and Mens Studies Alliance (MAMSA)
in addressing these issues. While this forum is not intended to be a planning
session for next years conference, ideas for possible workshops,
seminar presenta-tions, and/or thematic panels (to be organized
by those participants suggesting them), are welcome. Participants who wish to
invite specific Keynote or Featured speakers may also
bring these ideas to the forum for discussion. Any specific suggestions and/or
items that you wish to see put on the agenda should be sent to me at the e-mail
address above.

This roundtable is an informal session on teaching science fiction and fantasy
texts, not only in classes exclusively devoted to SF/F, but any class in which
an SF/F text might successfully be incorporated. Bring war stories, syllabi,
and ideas, and share what we think we know and what we think we might learn.
