Tamar Charney -- A refugee from Nashville, Tamar joined Michigan Radio in 1997 as reporter, producer and news anchor. She directs the Arts and Humanities Project that presents thinkers and cultural trends here in Michigan. She has also worked at WDET and WEMU and has done a variety of freelance work, including documentary production for NPR. To recharge her batteries, Tamar hikes, sails and hits the local beaches.
