President Bush agreed to sign into law legislation to fund the National Endowment of the Humanities and the National Endowment of the Arts at equal levels of $144 million per agency for FY 2008. The NEH received an increase of $3.7 million over last year's funding, and the NEA received an increase of $16 million above last year's level.
