Made in Michigan: Dialogues on the Art of Creatign Children's Books is a projected public lecture series by Michigan authors and illustrators of children's books. The series will occur in Mount Pleasant on June 24, June 30, July 8 and July 14 from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m., and followed by receptions at which listeners can meet the speakers. The lecture series will act as a focal point for a month-long spotlight on the art of creating children's books geared to both the academic community and public community. CMU will offer a simultaneous special topics course for teachers and education students, while the public library and the local arts organizations will offer coordinated activities for the children and parents.
