| Safeguarding Our History: Arab Americans in Michigan -- (2003) Grant Awarded: August 2003 Type of Grant: Public Humanities Development Grant Sponsor: Arab Community Center for Economic & Social Service (ACCESS) Contact: Dr. Anan Ameri, 313-843-2844, aameri@accesscommunity.org Award: $16,535 matching Website: accesscommunity.org The Arab Community Center for Economic & Social Service (ACCESS) of Dearborn has been awarded an $15,535 Public Humanities Development Grant for “Safeguarding Our History: Arab Americans in Michigan.” This grant will help support the research and collection of artifacts, photos, and historical documents from the Arab American community in Michigan, and be used in the permanent exhibition of the Arab American National Museum to open May 5, 2005.
