The University Musical Society at the University of Michigan will receive $14,000 for its Literary Chamber Series. Michigan Humanities Council will grant funding to combine five Literary Chamber Series performances with community activities to build new audiences for both the humanities and the arts. Activities include: coordinate study club discussions with Chamber scholars; establish discussions with audience members; host a love poetry contest and reception; create a companion publication for the series; offer inter-disciplinary courses and in-class visits at U-M.
