MESSAGE HANDLING
READING A MESSAGE
Double clicking on a message in the In Box brings up the following view
(well, almost, the red pointers are painted on for review purposes):
The main features are:
- 1 The sender's information, which can be viewed in detail
by clicking on the small pointer indicator
or easily
added to your address book by clicking on the add button
- 2 The previous/next message selectors
,
which allow you to move forward or backward through your messages. Holding
the mouse button while clicking them brings up the option to also delete
the current message prior to going to the next.
- 3 The Delete button
lets you move
a message to the Deleted
- 4 The File button
lets you move a message from the
In Box to a different Filing Cabinet location. Holding down the mouse button
while selecting it brings up the list of folders available.
- 5 The Print button
lets you print the current message.
- 6 The Forward button
lets you forward a message to another
user or group.
- 7 The Reply button
allows you to draft a reply to the
current message. Selecting text by highlighting prior to clicking on this
button will automatically insert the selected block as quoted text in the
reply message.
- 8 Finally, there is the
done button, which closes
the message window.
WRITING A MESSAGE

Writing an outgoing message or replying to another is fairly simple.
The Out Box Item window gives access to the following features:
- The Delete, File, Send Now, Cancel and Save action buttons
(self-explanatory)
- The Subject box (self-explanatory)
- The Do not schedule check box, which doesn't forward the message
if a sending schedule is active.
- The Use signature check box, which inserts your pre-defined
signature
- The Recipient icon, including the Find Recipient icon, which
links to the address book, and the Add Recipient icon, to send a multiple-address
message
- The File attachment icon, which brings up another window
including Add/Delete attachments and folders and selecting compression and
file encoding options
- The Body text field, where you'll type your message's text
