The Lusophone African Studies Organization (LASO)

The Lusophone African Studies Organization (LASO) is a professional society that is affiliated with the U.S. African Studies Association (ASA). LASO holds a business meeting and reception during the annual meeting of the ASA. LASO also sponsors one official panel or roundtable during the ASA each year, and helps organize additional panels as interest permits.

Membership is open to anyone interested in supporting our work, you do not have to be a member of the ASA to join LASO. Dues are on a sliding scale; to obtain a dues form or to pay membership fees, please contact our treasurer at regina.roberts@stanford.edu, or at
