H-Louisiana is sponsored by the Louisiana Historical Association. The purpose of H-Louisiana is to facilitate communication and the exchange or scholarly and pedagogical ideas among researchers, teachers, scholars, advanced students, and related professionals (e.g. local historians, librarians, archivists, genealogists) interested in Louisiana history as well as those who work in Louisiana.
