I'm trying to find out what has been done on Connecticut lawyer David Daggett. I know his papers are at Yale. But I'm trying to find out if anyone has done anything with him. I've only been able to locate some brief biographical sketches from the 1930s. Any help in this matter would be most appreciated.

Mike, telnet into one of the law library catalogs and do a search. i often use columbia's (pegasus.law.columbia.edu ; login: pegasus) for mongographs, but nyu has article level info (telnet mclib0.med.nyu.edu; login: library; choose "A" on the main menu and "2" on the next menu; then choose "B" other databases; and "1" index to legal periodicals [ILP]).

pegasus has one title (listed twice):

ILP at NYU had nothing on David Daggett (they did have Karcher v. Daggett [103 S. Ct. 2653]). you still might try Info-Law by IAC at your local law library. its more comprehensive than ILP.

i'm putting together a list of internet law resources and it will be published in the near future in HistNews (send "SUBSCRIBE HISTNEWS" to LISTSERV@UKANVM.CC.UKANS.EDU or LISTSERV@UKANVM); you might find some more stuff if you check those sources.

Though I don't have either volumes at hand, I seem to remember that Daggett is discussed briefly in both Fischer's Revolution in American Conservatism. and Linda Kerber's Federalists in Dissent.
