Subject:      Canadian Legal History

I am preparing an undergraduate course on politics and law in Canada. As I think about how I want to structure this course, it occurs to me that I have not yet found a book similar to Friedman's "History of American Law" or Hall's "The Magic Mirror." What I am looking for is a synoptic book that views the evolution of the Canadian legal system from a similar social science, historical perspective.
