    housingHousing Information for Traveling Researchers

    United States

    Date: Sun, 13 Apr 2014 19:27:45 -0500
    From: Nicolas E. Gordon <ngordo5@uic.edu>

Will you be traveling to do research in New Orleans, perhaps at Tulane’s Latin American Library, this summer? Do you need a place to stay near campus? If you don’t mind taking care of an older kitty cat, we may have the perfect place for you.

My fiancé (a PhD Student at Tulane) and I are headed to Mexico City this summer for a research trip/ our wedding and are looking for someone to stay in our place and take care of our 12 y/o cat for a few months. We are looking to leave by the end of May and are returning in late July to early August depending on the availability of a cat/apartment sitter. We live in the basement apartment of a large Arts-and-Crafts style house approximately 5 minutes by bike or 10 minutes on foot from the archives at Tulane. We are also a short walk away from the St Charles Streetcar line, which will take you to downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter.

In exchange for taking care of the kittie, we are willing to pay for half of the rent and all the utilities for summer. In total, the cost for the whole summer would be $800, end of May through early August, if need be. Please email us back at ngordo5@uic.edu <mailto:ngordo5@uic.edu> for more information.

    Yours sincerely,
