Description: I will be subletting a sunny, quiet, furnished 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment in Santa Monica, from May 7-July 31st. It is about 26 blocks form the beach. There is a great park one block away. Everything is within walking distance including many cafes, bars and restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy, gyms and yoga studios. We are near the 10 and the 405 and it is easy to get to all the major research centers and universities, including UCLA, USC and the Getty Museum. There are also multiple buses that pass on Santa Monica Blvd, just one block away.
The master bedroom has a bathroom, a king-sized bed, and a flat-screen TV. The other bedroom is furnished with a child's bed so this would be ideal for a family. The living room has another large flat-screen TV, 2 comfortable futons, one full-size and the other queen. The kitchen is fully equipped
This is a non-smoking unit and there is no smoking on the premises outside of the apartment either. Pets are also no allowed. Ideally someone would rent this for the entire time we are away, or at least on a monthly basis. We are not interested in renting for just a few days.
We have 2 permits for on-street parking in front of the building.

Description: Housing near the fantastic research libraries at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. UIUC has one of the best libraries in the nation and among finest collections on Latin America, and are a train ride away from the excellent research libraries and resources in Chicago.
I am on leave and offering my 3-bedroom/ 2-bathroom Victorian house in the historic district of Champaign--walking distance to parks and downtown restaurants and entertainment. You can walk to campus (20 minutes) or take public transportation (10 minutes--Green line, which is 1 block away). We are minutes away from downtown Champaign, with its wonderful restaurants, coffee shops and movie theaters. We are renting the house furnished.
The house is quite spacious with a formal living room and dining room and a fabulous sun room in the front. In addition to a small breakfast table on one side, the sun room has a desk and printer--makes for a fantastic work space. WIFI and cable service are available, if desired, at cost. The kitchen is huge with lots of cabinet space--and fully stocked with cooking gadgets to cook and bake. The eat-in kitchen overlooks the family room with a wood-burning fireplace. The basement is finished and currently used as a play room; it could also be a second office. The basement has a summer kitchen and laundry room. We currently have two cribs in one of the three bedrooms; you can use them or we can dismantle them to make room for a bed. There is plenty of space to live and work. Reasonable sized back yard with a swing set and a 2.5 car garage.
This is a comfortable home, and we are excited to share it with someone while we are away. Lease term is negotiable. You must rent for at least a semester (3 mos). $1350/mo. Call 773-307-6004 or e-mail jbaber@illinios.edu.
