    Description: I own a cozy elegant and modern apartment in downtown Buenos Aires, which I would like to rent to academics. It is located one block away from the subway and one block from a main street, Santa Fe Avenue. It sleeps 3 people: it has a master bedroom and a study with a chaise-longue and there are 2 bathrooms.     This two-bedroom apartment is centrally located in Congreso barrio, a seventh floor on Montevideo Street, between Mitre and Peron. The apartment is, on one of its sides, three blocks from the Congreso building and the Avenida de Mayo and, on its other side, two blocks from Corrientes Avenue, with all its cafes, bookshops, and pizzerias. It is also four blocks from the Obelisco and three from the famous Corrientes and Callao corner.

    The apartment is served by two subway lines: the \"A\" line, which connects Plaza de Mayo to Flores barrio; and the \"B\" line, which connects Plaza de Mayo to Chacarita barrio. Further, at least 40 bus lines have stops in two blocks around the apartment. It is ideal for scholars who want to work at repositories such as the Congress Library (three blocks); the National General Archive (5\' by subway) or the National Library (10\' by bus), among many others.

    The apartment is fully furnished and houses up to four people. It consists of:
    - A large living and dining room (dining table and four chairs; three-body sofa; rocking chair; coffee table; lamps, etc.)
    - A large master bedroom (sommier; two nightstands with lamps; chest of drawers; huge placard) with a magnificent view of the city.
    - A studio or second bedroom (desk; computer desk; three chairs; lots of bookshelves, and placards)
    - A kitchen (with a new oven; microwave; toaster; lots of dishes, cups, glasses, pans, knives, folks, etc).

    The place is very quiet and all the rooms have large windows, looking to the East. The apartment building is very safe.

    Price: $400 plus utilities (power, gas, telephone, water, expenses:
    average $150 monthly. Broad band and cable: $50 monthly).

    plus another study.  Is located in Acassuso (San Isidro), half a block from
    Av. Libertador (with good public transport) and 5 blocks from Acassuso train
    station (30 minutes to Retiro, from where there is easy access to the
    Archivo General de la Nación, Academia Nacional de la Historia and
    Biblioteca Nacional). Acassuso is a fantastic area, and the house is walking
    distance to shops and restaurants. A car could also be available.

    Two-bedroom apartment in the center of the city. The apartment consists of two bedrooms, a living room, dining room, one and a half bathrooms, large kitchen with a washing machine. It has a lot of natural light, is in excellent condition, and is fully furnished, including all kitchen utensils and bedding. The apartment also comes with telephones, two air conditioning units and central heating.

     

    Located in the traditional tango neighborhood of San Telmo, the oldest part of the city which has been redeveloped over the last few years, the apartment is situated only 3 blocks from the Plaza de Mayo, the political, cultural and banking center of Buenos Aires. The neighborhood is centrally located for all forms of urban transportation.

     

    Rent is $650 US per month, plus building maintenance expenses. It is available after October 12 and can be rented for periods, preferably of greater than six months.
