The floor salary for the Assistant Professor rank for 1998/1999 is $40,638. The successful candidate should have not only a Ph.D. but a record of publications that shows a clear and strong promise of excellence in research. One of the main tasks of the incumbent will be to create and shape a Center for the Study of Christianity at the University of Alberta.
