Most listed resources are freely available.Compiled by Charles D’Aniello, Lockwood Library, University at Buffalo, The State University of New York.
This is an eclectic list (hopefully helpful and certainly selective and suggestive). Many of us work as history librarians or archivists and it is intended to capture a broad spectrum of general potential concerns, identifying resources that may be useful to the largest number of us. You may wish to familiarize yourself quickly with its contents and/or use it only as needed. You will see some Web sites below that may surprise you; but, of course, the “bibliography” of history is diverse. Help build a larger list of general resources: send suggestions for additions or new sections to H-HistBibl.
