Dear Habsburgers,

the question of John Dunn, of course, is a correct one - and it is also
obvious for me that on HABSBURG up to now mostly "foreigners" (one is
afraid to write down the word) have reacted on the Haider phenomena. One
possible reason could be that most Austrians are working, thinking and
explaining at the moment more or less for a domestic audience. And another
- which would be valid for me - that at the moment - many Austrians do
have difficulties in dividing historical analysis from their being
political individuals and/or activists, too.
