Heather Morrison is assistant professor of early modern history at State University of New York at New Paltz. She earned her Ph.D. in 2005 from Louisiana State University under the direction of Suzanne Marchand. Her research focuses on the attempts to promote Enlightenment among writers and intellectuals in the 1780s in Vienna. For the 2008-2009 academic year she is in Vienna on a Richard Plaschka research Stipendium.
