For those interested in this subject, I would like to recommend Lothar Gall, Gerald D. Feldman, Harold James, Carl-Ludwig Holtfrerich, Hans E. Bueschgen, Die Deutsche Bank 1870-1995 (Beck Verlag: Munich, 1995) or for the English version, The Deutsche Bank 1870-1995 (Weidenfeld & Nicolson: London 1995). It contains a good deal of implicit and explicit comparative information because of the bank's dealings with the United States and because of our efforts to "reform" the banking system after World War II.
