The editors and board want the list be a clear, fresh, and fair forum for substantive, professional discussion of a powerful subject. Subscribers to the list are reminded that they are joining an emerging and unique community of professionals, writers, scholars, teachers, and mature students of a highly sensitive and deeply troubling subject; posts to the list should be composed with this audience in mind. Persons wishing to lurk or who want to preview list discussions before joining are invited to examine and use the list's free web logs, which are publicly accessible on this website.

The editors reserve the right to screen postings for pertinence, formatting, and content. Except for grammatical corrections, no message will be altered without the permission of its author. Reasons for rejection or for requesting revision will be explained in a reply from the editor. Subscribers are invited to review H-Net's policies on editing and posting, in Section 2.03 of our by-laws at http://www2.h-net.msu.edu/about/by-laws.html.

Persons with an occasional or casual interest in this subject may read the H-Genocide discussion log at
