CROSS CULTURAL CD

This database, located in the Reference Center at USC, is a major reference source for research and teaching in the social and behavioral sciences and the humanities. The information has been extracted from the Human Relations Area Files (HRAF), and made available for quick and easy searching.

The texts are extracted from over 1000 anthropological, sociological, and psychological books and articles on life in over 60 different societies around the world in the 19th and 20th centuries. The user friendly aspects of this CD make it accessible to students as well as faculty.

Religious beliefs and practices

Searching on the CD

Topics and extracts can be searched via a series of easy-to-use terms and subject headings. Browsing call also be conducted from the Dictionary of Index Terms. All data can be downloaded to a disk or printed out.
