Crossroads Project workshop on American Studies Resources

This is the first in a series of workshops planned by the Crossroads Project as combination print and online resources. This workshop, a modified version of which will appear in the June 1996 ASA (American Studies Association) Newsletter, is designed to help the user explore the web and locate good American Studies resources online.

Topics covered in first workshop:

  1. Now that I have access to the web, how do I find the stuff I'm interested in?
  2. How do I keep track of really useful sites I come across?
  3. Surfing the web sounds great, but hard to get a handle on. Are there any online guides that show how the web is organized?
  4. Is there any kind of organizational map for American Studies resources on the web?
  5. Are there any really good resources on the web specifically related to American Studies?
  6. If I wanted to put some information on the web myself, how would I do it?
