Chipasha, you may find interesting J.V. Stalin's 1913 theoretical
work, MARXISM AND THE NATIONAL QUESTION. It is one of his
glacier-sized works. At one point J.V. Stalin was Commissar of
Nationalities in the USSR.
I think it is essential to bear in mind the social class
character of all ethnicities and nationalities.
Fact: 3,000 - 5,000 nations exist on the face of the Earth, but
only about 200 states exist. In effect, the term "nation-state"
is a misnomer.
