A section on "Learning American History" has joined the "Reference Tools for Historians" and the "Learning and Teaching Canadian History" sections at the "Learning and Teaching History Web Site," University of Victoria, in British Columbia, Canada.
The Learning American History Web Site is organized topically and collects links aimed at university and college students, researchers and faculty. The topics now available include the Vietnam War, Cold War and Hispanic and Latino-American History, African American History, Women's History. Other topics are being added on a regular basis and suggestions are most welcome.
Although we are still in the early stages of identifying appropriate links, and many of the links will obviously be to American sites, the ultimate aim of this set of pages is to provide a non-American perspective on American history.
Please draw the attention of your students to the Learning American History Pages (and well as the Reference Tools for Historians and the and Canadian Learning and Teaching page. They can be found at:
