Could someone send me the name and a very brief summary of the latest
book by Carolyn Merchant which focuses on women and the environmental
movement. I am particularly interested in whether she covers the topic
of ecofeminism.
Thanks in advance,

For Benay Blend: Carolyn Merchant's new book is called *Earthcare: Women and the Environment* (Routledge, 1996). I can't give you a summary because I don't own the book. Perhaps someone else does and can tell you more about its contents.

Carolyn Merchant's latest book is "Earthcare: Women and the Environment".
Published by Routledge in November 1995, but dated both 1995 and 1996!!
There is much in common -like a whole chapter or two - with her previous
book "Radical Ecology: the search for a livable world", published by
Routledge in 1992.
Yes, the new book covers ecofeminism and her arguments towards a
partnership ethic. I enjoyed it (but do not have it with me at the office
to give you more details.
