I am a technology coordinator for two counties in Ohio. Some districts
are multiple-platform, some aren't. I feel that either platform will
do the job but there are some applications that one platform is
better designed for than the other.
Many people get bogged down with this issue when planning for
technology. The best advise I can offer is put off the platform
issue until your technology plan is complete. See what kind
of software/activities you have called for in your plan, then
research which platform has the best offerings. Chances are, you'll
see a mixture of both.
