While having one platform may make many technical, support, and training
issues less complex, the platform debate misses the basic point: what do you
want to do and what technology solution(s) will get you there? Sometimes the
answers will result in one platform; at others it may result in mixed
platforms. I still maintain that a one-or-the-other mentality diverts
attention from other key issues.
