MAC Classic keyboard problem

A friend of mine has a MAC classis. Several months ago, she came to me asking
why she had to keep rechoosing the printer and the clock was always wrong. I
told her she needed a new battery. Gave her the radio shack part number, and
told her to bring it in when she got the battery I would put it in for her.

She never got a new battery, just kept reselecting the printer. Now it will
not respnd to the keyboard or mouse. She brought it in for me to look at. I
put in a new battery and tried a different keyoard and mouse but no luck.

Any ideas? Is this keyboard problem completely isolated from the battery
situation?

There is always something different to learn!
