A Discussion Board provides a shared space for participants to
not only present opinion and pose questions, but also to share pointers to
helpful information sources on the topic of interest. Participants can
submit signed or anonymous comments on existing topics or create new
topics via web-clients like Netscape or lynx. URLs of useful web-pages
can be included in the text of a comment. These URLs will become active
links when the comment is submitted to the board.
The features of Discussion Boards allow class members to build and share
an information collection during the course of a class. Everyone in the
class can add content to the class by participating in discussions and by
providing references to information sources they find helpful.
Here are a couple of examples of how they are used:

If you would like to test the method of posting - try it on our test board:

(please read the note '_How to use this board_' first - so you will get
maximum enjoyment :-) )
