Internship 1: Assistant Producer of Images, the intern will be responsible
for the arranging of studio time, scheduling and assisting interviews,
writing segments, coordinating crew and equipment for shoots and assisting
in the production, editing and distribution process of the program. the
intern's background should include, scripting, the production process,
including scheduling and budgeting, interviewing techniques and the
principles of editing.
Internship 2: Assistant Editor / Videographer of Images, the intern will
be responsible for lighting and shooting interview and b-roll segments of
the program both in the studio and in field locations. You will be required
to assist in editing the segments on Grass Valley and Sony editing systems.
Your background should include videography and lighting. The principles of
editing and the care and handling of U-Matic and Betacam video equipment.
Internship 3: Electronic Graphics / Assistant Editor you will be
responsible for the creation of television graphics and typography on the
Digital Graphix HALO system. you must be familiar with paint box art
creation and advanced character generator operations. You should have a
background in art and television production.
College of DuPage, the largest single campus community college in the U.S.
is located 25 miles west of Chicago's loop, in the heart of DuPage county's
high tech corridor. Audio Radio & Television Services at College of DuPage
consists of:
* Radio station WDCB, a 24 hour public radio station.
* Audio services, a digital production, post-production and duplication
facility.
* Television services, a multi-format video production, post-production
facility. including two studios 50x50 and 30x40, two Grass Valley editing
suites, Non-linear editing, Macromedia Authoring, Autodesk and Topas 3D
graphics.
These internships will offer students experience in professional video
production and an entry into the Chicago area production market. Should you

You must meet these requirements to be considered for an internship.
1. Most of your major production courses must be completed.
2. You must be a final semester junior or of senior standing.
3. You must supply:
a. A letter from your advisor or Internship coordinator confirming
your current status
b. A letter of recommendation from a communications faculty member.
c. A current resume.
4. You must complete the Audio, Radio and Television Services INTERNSHIP
DATA SHEET which will give us additional information on your academic and
vocational background and will help us to get an overall perspective on your
internship potential.
5. You must complete the Audio, Radio and Television Services goals and
objectives sheet.
