Corinne,

We've published numerous case studies of K-12 schools' success with
technology in our books and magazine. You can see book titles and -- for
some -- tables of contents under "publications" at our Web site,

http://www.nsba.org/itte

"Multimedia and Learning: A School Leader's Guide" offers quite a few case
studies of multimedia use, and "Teachers and Technology: Staff Development
for Tomorrow's Schools" has some on staff development practices. "Plans &
Policies for Technology in Education: A Compendium" doesn't have case
studies per se, but reprints selected excerpts from districts' actual
technology plans and policies. Our publications are available from our
distribution center in Maryland, (800) 706-6722. If you would like me to
fax or mail you our catalog, let me know.

There's a link from the above site to our "Electronic School" magazine, or
you could go straight to its Web site at

http://www.access.digex.net/~nsbamags/e-school.html

Another resource for success stories is Scholastic's "Electronic Learning"
magazine. Their Web site is

http://www.scholastic.com/EL

A useful resource that doesn't feature case studies but tells of overall
success with technology use is the latest edition of the Software Publishers
Association's research overview, "Report on the Effectiveness of Technology
in Schools," maybe mentioned at their Web site,

http://www.spa.org

It's $25 for educators, $99 for for-profit groups, from SPA in Washington,
DC, (202) 452-1600, fax (202) 223-8756.

Another avenue for discovering success stories is making site visits to
exemplary districts/schools and attending conferences on ed tech, such as we
and other organizations sponsor. There are lots of success stories out there.
